Meet Aazan Ulhaq

Welcome to my journey!

I’m Aazan Ulhaq, an analytical and artistic student who explores, analyzes, and innovates within the true function of the elements of the world, all while nurturing a passion for sports. My research interests span Regenerative Medicine, Molecular Dynamics, and Nanoparticles, including projects on pharmacokinetics and nanoscience. I also shadow at a private dentist clinic and work at a nursing center, gaining practical medical insights. Honored with awards like the Business Venture MIST and the learnSTEM scholarship, I excel both academically and personally. Beyond academics, I nurture a passion for badminton. Join me at Aazan BioInnovations as I transform groundbreaking ideas into pioneering research in regenerative medicine and modification.

About

My Leadership

STEM Group Research

Lead a team of 3 students in conducting research. Outlined and wrote a research paper on the the leading causes of stress and a hypothesis on hate crimes. Designed and conducted a survey to collect data from our schools environment. Facilitated the design and organization of a trifold board made to present our findings with graphs and conclusions. Opted in our team to present it at a STEM Expo at Richmond Hill HS.

Puzzlathon - InspireYouth

Initiated an engaging program that allowed children to open up their mind and use their logic to solve puzzles and prepare them for problem solving in the real world. Fostered new critical thinking abilities, and allowed children to earn volunteer hours by attending this event.

My Research Projects

Modeling a novel molecular inhibitor for a mutated enzyme - Nicholas Nolan

Developing a paper about the pharmacokinetics and dynamics about a new molecular stabilizer for implications of treatment of a rare genetic disorder. Using PyMOL and SciPy to model structures and kinetics.

Exploring the optimization of properties of polymer-based nanoparticles - Dr. Lillova and Professor Virgel

Writing a literature review (to be published) on the best polymer and nanoparticle complex for implications in safe clinical usage in IV drug delivery systems.

Medical Experience

My Passion Project: Puzzalathon Bootcamp

I’ve always had a passion for mentoring and helping younger students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills. That’s what inspired me to create Puzzalathon, a two-day bootcamp where I taught 10 students through a series of engaging puzzles. We started with the basics and moved on to more advanced challenges, all aimed at helping them sharpen their minds and think more critically.

This project wasn’t just about building academic skills—it was also a chance for me to give back. I raised money for the Drishti Eye Foundation, combining my love for learning with a commitment to making a positive difference in my community. Through Puzzalathon, I’ve been able to help others grow, both in their academic abilities and in their awareness of giving back to causes that matter.
